Galusha Farm Hay Quality Promise

At Galusha Farm, we take pride in producing and supplying consistent, high-quality hay for your livestock. We stand behind our hay and are committed to working with our customers to address legitimate quality concerns in a fair and transparent way.
 




Your Hay Selection
Customers are welcome to select hay bale-for-bale from available inventory at the time of purchase. This allows you to choose the hay that best meets your needs before delivery.
 




Quality Concerns & Replacements
If you believe there is a quality issue with your hay, please contact us promptly.


  • Unusable hay will be replaced bale-for-bale on your next scheduled delivery.
  • If part of a bale is usable, please feed what you can and provide clear photos of the unusable portion. The unusable portion will be replaced at no charge.
  • If you discontinue deliveries, hay may be returned for replacement using the same evaluation and replacement process.


All replacement decisions are subject to our evaluation.




Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds on hay.
Approved quality issues are resolved through replacement only.
 




Hay Testing & Nutritional Values
Hay analysis results are provided as a representative sample and are not a guarantee of every bale or the entire lot.

Nutritional values may vary due to:


  • Field and growing conditions
  • Harvest timing
  • Plant composition
  • Sampling methods
  • Laboratory differences


We do not guarantee specific NSC, WSC, sugar, or starch percentages. Lower RFV values are common in low-sugar hay and are a natural result of that composition.

Mixed hay will naturally show greater variation between samples due to the presence of grasses, alfalfa, and occasionally clover.
 




Normal Variation
Normal agricultural variation — including plant diversity, selective feeding, animal preference, or natural field differences — does not constitute a quality defect.
 




Delivery Timing for Replacements
If replacement hay is requested before your next scheduled delivery, standard delivery charges will apply.
